Submission

ARES 2022 will be published by the International Conference Proceedings Series published by ACM ( ACM ICPS ).

Authors are invited to submit research and application papers according the following guidelines

For the main conference as well as the workshops paper submissions are classified into 4 categorizes representing original, previously unpublished work:

  • full paper (10 pages, two column)
  • short paper (6 pages, two column)
  • workshop paper (6-8 pages, a maximum of 10 pages is tolerated, two column)
  • SoK paper (10 pages, two column)

Additionally SoK paper titles need to start with “SoK:” this also applies to the paper title in Easychair (not only in the paper itself) and need to select the category “Systematization of Knowledge (SoK) paper (10 pages, two column)” in EasyChair.

Page limit includes references. An Appendix is additionally possible.

Formating Instructions / template

Please check the ACM TAPS Website for detailed template and submission instructions: https://www.acm.org/publications/taps/word-template-workflow

  • Download ACM´s template Primary Article Template – LaTeX .
  • Use sigconf
  • Follow the instructions like described in The Workflow and Templates section.
  • LaTeX papers, two column, are accepted to be submitted to EasyChair.

Additional information for accepted papers
For submitting the author´s accepted paper to the ACM publishing system TAPS, the papers \documentclass can be either “manuscript” or “sigconf”.

The final TAPS output will be two-column style.

Submitted papers will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, presentation and clarity of exposition.

Simultaneous submission of the same work to multiple venues, submission of previously published work, or plagiarism constitutes dishonesty or fraud. ARES, like other scientific and technical conferences and journals, prohibits these practices and may take action against authors who have committed them. Self-plagiarism also counts as plagiarism! In case you include previous work in your paper make sure to add the sources accordingly. In case you have questions regarding self-plagiarism please send us an email.

Contact author must provide the following information at the ARES conference system: paper title, authors’ names, affiliations, postal address, phone, fax, and e-mail address of the author(s) (all authors listed as authors in the paper have to be added to the paper in EasyChair! not only the pdf) , about 200-250 word abstract, and about five keywords. Accepted papers will be given guidelines in preparing and submitting the final manuscript(s) together with the notification of acceptance.

Double blind review: ARES requires anonymized submissions – please make sure that submitted papers contain no author names or obvious self-references .

Submission of a paper implies that should the paper be accepted, at least one of the authors will register and present the paper in the conference.

The ARES submission system (EasyChair) will be available here: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ares2022

Your EasyChair data (publication, name, affiliation, email address) will automatically be forwarded to findresearch.org. We generally support this idea as we consider it a good way to make research more traceable. However if you do not want to provide that information please get back to us at ares@sba-research.org with an informal reply.

Publishing preprints to Arxiv or other, open repositories is allowed prior to the notification of ARES and does not violate the requirement for novelty. Reviewers will be asked to not search for and ignore preprints that can deanonymize blinded submission.

Important Note

To avoid accepting papers for ARES 2022 which are not presenting original work your paper will be plagiarism checked by Docoloc Plagarism Check. Self-plagiarism also counts as plagiarism! In case you include previous work in your paper make sure to add the sources accordingly. In case you have questions regarding self-plagiarism please send us an email ( ares@sba-research.org ). If you don’t want your paper to be checked automatically please contact us .
